The Litehouse 2P from Sierra Designs meets the expectations of backpackers looking for a tent with an excellent weight/comfort ratio. Before we get into the reasons for this good ratio, you should know that this “2-people” is self-supporting and designed for 3 season use.Weight/comfort ratio: when packed, the tent weighs 1560 grams, or less than one kilogram per person. It is not the lightest tent on the market, because its strength is comfort. Often lightness is synonymous with compromise on living space: limited interior volume, no space for mattresses, reduced footprint…Sierra Design is not in the race of weight “at all costs”, but offers a well-balanced model:

• The poles structure creates two vertical walls increasing the habitability.
• The height under the roof is 105 cm, allowing for a sitting position.
• The ground surface 213 x 110/132 really allows to put 2 mattresses of standard size (51 cm).
• To facilitate the mobility of the 2 hikers/campers/occupants, the Litehouse 2 has 2 doors and 2 apses. Under the apses you can store all your gear in a dry place!

The materials used allow the tent to withstand the elements (rain, wind): 15 denier nylon rain fly and floor, and 1200 mm of waterproofing.The inner chamber is made from a mesh fabric that allows air to circulate freely. Condensation will also be limited by the 2 inlets and the opening on the top of the rain fly.This dome tent is easy to assemble thanks to the aluminum structure.
